Getting Hospice Care

The Dorothy Ley Hospice’s staff and volunteers offer compassionate palliative care to individuals who are living with the challenges of a life-limiting illness and loss. Our goal is to help manage people’s pain so they can live life to the fullest with dignity, meaning and hope.

Hospice care is about choice. We work with individuals and their caregivers to develop individualized care plans that enhance quality of life by meeting their physical, emotional, spiritual and practical needs.

We can help you by offering:

  Community Care

  • Services in your home where you are most comfortable
  • Care management to help you navigate the health care system and advocate on your behalf to access the services you need
  • Day Program to provide social interaction for you and short-term respite for your caregiver
  • Integrative Wellness programs to promote a sense of well being and quality of life
  Residential Care

  • Residential care during your last weeks of life when being at home is no longer practical
  • Spiritual Care to help you find meaning in your life and death
  • Bereavement Care to help your family members address their grief and loss
